Entrepreneur provides scholarship for Bayes MSc in financial technology and innovation
Entrepreneur Avgoustinos Apostolou, the Co-Founder of dealio.ai, fxds.com and infinittex.com, has generously donated £10,000 for two years in a scholarship for students on Bayes new MSc in Financial Technology and Innovation.
Ioannis Kyriakou, Professor of Actuarial Finance, said:
“Avgoustinos is a seasoned entrepreneur who, despite his young age, has a strong track record of founding companies in the financial services, fintech, and payments sectors, showcasing his expertise and vision. Believing in his ability to create a positive impact, and following an interesting discussion, he unhesitatingly proposed to contribute to our fledgling master’s degree.”
In his career, Avgoustinos led a series of innovative initiatives, including dealio.ai, fxds.com, infinittex.com and the upcoming payxl.com. Avgoustinos’s endeavours have significantly impacted the financial services, fintech and payments industries.
Mr Apostolou added: "My journey has reinforced my belief in the importance of giving back and creating opportunities. This scholarship reflects my commitment to supporting future talent and fostering innovation."

The Avgoustinos Apostolou scholarship is open to students on the MSc Financial Technology and Innovation FT course, who can demonstrate financial need and wish to embark on the 2024/25 programme. Interested students can find more information about the scholarship’s eligibility criteria, application deadline and award process online. The scholarship will also be available next year. Students can apply via the online application form.
