Dr Cormac Bryce

Dr Cormac Bryce is Associate Dean and a former Lord Mayor City of London's Research Fellow, specialising in risk, regulation and organisational behaviour in financial services. His research and industry work focus on decision-making, risk culture and the impact of regulation on performance across complex organisations.

Rosie Chopra is Course Director at Bayes, specialising in insurance law, regulation and claims management. A qualified solicitor and former Lloyd’s claims manager, she brings extensive London market experience into her teaching and research.

Professor Patrick Liedtke

Patrick was Chief Client Officer and Chief Economist of Infrastructure Asset Manager Infranity; held several senior regional and global leadership roles at BlackRock including Head of Financial Institutions Group (EMEA), Head of Institutional Client Business for Europe, member of the Global Institutional Client Leadership Committee, and of the BlackRock Academy’s Global Steering Committee. Prior to that he was Secretary General and Managing Director of The Geneva Association, the leading global strategic research centre for the insurance industry.

He was a two-turn member of the Executive Committee of the Club of Rome, is a Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, and has published over 150 articles, papers and thought-pieces on risk, insurance, economic and finance issues.

Sabine VanderLinden

Sabine VanderLinden is an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at Bayes and CEO and Managing Partner of Alchemy Crew Ventures, an enterprise venturing advisory firm serving the finance and insurance sectors.

With 28 years spanning Lloyd's of London, IBM, Pega, and co-founding two InsurTech accelerators (Startupbootcamp and Hartford InsurTech), she has guided 100-plus corporates and ventures from idea to scale. Sabine is co-editor of the bestselling InsurTech book and a recognised Top 50 Women in Tech.

Building talent across the MENA region

We work with a wide range of insurers, regulators and educational institutions in the Middle East and North Africa to support the development of national talent in these rapidly growing insurance markets. This includes Bayes' partnership with the Saudi Insurance Authority to fund Saudi professionals on specialist Master’s programmes at Bayes in London, alongside Executive programmes for organisations in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt – delivered either in-country or at Bayes.
