About
Overview
As a Senior Lecturer on the Bayes MSc Insurance Risk Management programme, Rosie specialises in insurance law, regulation, liability insurance and claims management. Rosie also leads an insurance module for MSc Global Finance students, providing insights into the role of insurance in financial markets.
She brings both formidable industry experience and the perspective of a qualified solicitor to her teaching and research.
Before transitioning to academia, Rosie spent many years as a claims manager at a leading Lloyd’s insurance company, handling complex international liability claims - including professional indemnity, directors & officers (D&O) and medical malpractice insurance. She has extensive expertise in London market practices, processes and products and has worked closely with brokers, cover-holders and clients in international insurance markets.
After gaining that industry experience, Rosie designed and delivered courses for trainee brokers and apprentice underwriters and claims handlers at BPP University.
She is completing her PhD by researching ethics and professionalism in insurance and her other research interests include insurance education, legal and regulatory responsibilities, professional conduct and industry practice.
