Events

Discover our MBA programmes by connecting with us! We offer a variety of opportunities to engage, including on-campus information sessions, informal MBA drop-in sessions, and casual Coffee Chats. If you can't join us in person, participate online. These events are held regularly throughout the year, providing insights from Course Directors, faculty, current students, and alumni. Our Recruitment and Admissions teams are available to offer tips and guidance on the application process, important dates, and funding options.

MBA in a Day - Saturday 26th April

This on-campus event gives you the chance to find out everything you need to know about Bayes and our MBA programmes.

Agenda

  • Pre-scheduled 1-2-1's
  • Welcome to Bayes Business School and the Bayes community
  • MBA Programmes overview
  • Masterclass -  Nettra Pan (Assistant Professor) in Entrepreneurship - AI and Closed AI: Opportunities for Distributed Digital Infrastructure in the Age of AI
  • The business impacts of generative AI are starting to be seen across industries, however, the winners and losers of this disruption are far from being determined. In this Masterclass we will explore the different philosophies behind open and closed models of AI and the technical and financial implications of these philosophies. What opportunities do open systems offer for new entrants? What are the risks of closed AI dominating critical infrastructure? What new business models and innovation strategies do open and distributed approaches enable? As technology becomes embedded in today’s business practices (or, cynically: as we become embedded in technical systems), what actions can business leaders take today to educate themselves and advocate for a transparent, equitable, and resilient digital future?

  • Q&A Session with Alum/Student panel
  • Lunch and networking

Date:  26th April

Time:  09:30 - 14:00
