Lauren McCarthy
Lauren McCarthy is Director of ETHOS and a Senior Lecturer in Corporate Social Responsibility at Bayes Business School. She has
held previous roles at Royal Holloway, University of London, Copenhagen Business School, and the University of Nottingham. Lauren’s research explores how businesses and partner organisations can contribute (or not) to gender equality, particularly within global value chains. This work has also touched on feminist social movements and their utilisation of different strategies including social media and CSR. Her work has been published in Organization Studies, Human Relations, Business Ethics Quarterly, Business & Society, Organization, and Gender, Work & Organization, as well as in journals in the geography and development fields. Lauren’s most recent grant investigates the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Cambodian garment supply chain with a feminist lens on workers' access to social protection (refashionstudy.org)

Dipsikha Guha Majumdar
Dipsikha Guha Majumdar is a Bayes Honorary Visiting Fellow supporting ETHOS’ work from 2024 onwards. She is a Lecturer in Responsible Business at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University. She holds a PhD in Management from Bayes Business School, City University of London and a MPhil in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, India.
Dipsikha’s research focuses on inequalities in entrepreneurship, with a focus on caste and gender-based violence and discrimination among marginalised entrepreneurs in the Global South. She examines the roles of business and social intermediaries within women’s entrepreneurial contexts. Prior to joining academia, Dipsikha has worked in International Development sector and have held roles in CSR and Sustainability, with corporations and non-profits in India, managing multi-stakeholder initiatives in rural entrepreneurship, sustainable livelihoods, and financial inclusion. She has published in Management Learning.
