Born in Athens in 1976 but raised in Thessaloniki. BSc in Maritime Business & Maritime Law from Plymouth University, United Kingdom (1997) * BSc Dissertation on ISM code and its implications in shipping MSc in Shipping, Trade & Finance from City, University of London, now known as Bayes Business School (1999) * MSc Thesis on Financial Model Comparison of Low Cost Airlines in Europe – supervised by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou of Easyjet and Prof. Manolis Kavoussanos.
From Feb 1998 till December 1999 joined Anglo-European Agencies in Grays, UK, as Marketing Assistant responsible for the North Europe – West Africa service and the implementation of New Information System (NIS module) of Senator Lines From 2002 and onwards joined the family business passing from all departments before taking over management in 2008.
In the last twenty years, his family business has represented in Greece various large liner companies, like Senator Lines, Stinnes Lines Gmbh, Hanjin Shipping, Unimed Feeder Services, MCL Feeders and most recently HMM Co Ltd (Hyundai Merchant Marine). President of the Board of International Maritime Union in Greece since April 2021. Member of the Board at International Maritime Union of Piraeus since 2018 and single member since 2001 Representative of Greece in FONASBA and ECASBA Participation as stakeholder in Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) funding program of European Union as well as in Waterborne Platform program for the decarbonization and optimization of waterborne transportation of goods and minimization or vessels’ port stay.
