Mr Can Ertem, Head of Trading (East Med), ElbOil Gmbh
Can has a 16 year experience in shipping and bunkering as ship financier, bunker fund raiser, credit risk manager, commercial director and bunker trader. Achievements have included onboarding credit insurance policies and receivable finance facilities for bunkering companies as well as restructuring finance facilities. In addition, providing consultancy on ship finance transactions including S&P finance and refinancing and setting up shipping and bunkering joint-ventures, funding working capital requirements of ship operators and owners, originating and executing M&As and company valuation work have been part of the experience.
Can is currently working for the Hamburg-headquartered worldwide independent bunker trading firm ElbOil GmbH as the Head of Trading for East Med. He previously held senior management positions in the Singapore based Sing Fuels and the former Glencore subsidiary OceanConnect Marine.
