Mr Lorenzo d’Amico, Group Insurance Director & Global Ops, d'Amico Società di Navigazione S.p.A.
Lorenzo d’Amico is one of the members of the fourth generation of the d’Amico family who works within the Group. Based in Rome, he holds the role of Insurance Group Director, managing the overall strategy of the Group Insurance coverage. He also leads the operations tasks. through the Global Operations dept, which aims at aligning and optimizing the two main shipping business units of d’Amico (dry and tankers). After a first experience within the Group during university, Lorenzo d’Amico, has worked for CR Marine & Aviation in London from 2013 to 2014, before joining the Group as Operation Manager. From 2016 to 2021 he held the position of Insurance Deputy Manager, before the appointment as Director. He is member of the Board of Director of d’Amico International Shipping – the listed arm of the d’Amico Group, and member of the Boards of Directors of the P&I Club NorthStandard and of the Strike and Delay Class. After his Degree in Business Administration in Rome, Lorenzo d’Amico held in 2012 a MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from the Cass Business School of London.
