Mr Nicolaus Bunnemann, Managing Partner, AL Group (Atlantic Lloyd GmbH & Co. KG)
Nicolaus Bunnemann is the managing partner of AL Capital Holding GmbH & Co. KG (AL Group), a diversified and family owned shipowning and asset management group, with offices in Hamburg and Singapore. AL Group’s shipowning activities span across the container, dry bulk, product tanker and car carrier segments.
Nicolaus is the founder and managing director of Atlantic Lloyd GmbH & Co. KG, the group’s German based operating arm. He is a member of the board of the German Shipowners’ Defence Association as well as board member of a number of maritime investment companies and holds a Master’s Degree in Shipping, Trade & Finance, from Bayes (former CASS) Business School, London. Before joining the family business in 2008, Nicolaus held various positions in numerous shipping companies in Germany and Asia, as well with the German Navy.
