Mrs Alexandra Psyrri, Senior Energy & Carbon Economist, Intermodal ESG Solutions
Alexandra Psyrri has been in the energy trading business since 2002. Before that, she worked in ATHEX, the Greek Stock Exchange and in the Financial Department of PPC S.A., the Greek Electricity Utility, at Loans and Subsidies.
Until recently she was Head of Market Making Unit of PPC, responsible for Market Making in the Greek Energy Exchange - HENEX and for proprietary trading. Prior to that she was heading the Forward Trading Unit, being responsible for PPC’s financial and physical electricity trading in the whole SEE region of all energy products, including EU ETS emissions trading for compliance purposes.
From 2010 until 2018 she was responsible for all Front-Office operations of PPC, including the bidding of its fleet of Thermal and Hydro Units in the Greek Day-Ahead Market, cross-border electricity purchase and sales and financial CO2 trading. In parallel, she was also CEO of PPC BG (2014-2022), an energy trading company, the Bulgarian subsidiary of PPC and BoD member of EDS, electricity supplier, subsidiary of PPC in North Macedonia, from 2019 until today.
Currently she has joined the team of Intermodal Shipbrokers ESG Solutions, as a EU ETS expert. She has given lectures and participated as a speaker/panellist/moderator in numerous congresses and fora, in Greece and abroad, about energy and CO2.
