Overview
Guangyu Li joined the Faculty of Finance at Bayes Business School in 2024 as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Accounting. He received his PhD from King’s College London and was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University from 2022 to 2023.
His research interests lie at the intersection of corporate disclosure, financial analysts, corporate governance, social networks, and emerging technologies in capital markets. His current work focuses on sell-side analysts’ information acquisition activities and market concequences, using both quantitative archival methods and qualitative fieldwork. His research has been published in Contemporary Accounting Research, presented at leading academic conferences, and received Best Conference Paper Award (ECR) at the British Accounting and Finance Association 2025 Annual Conference. He has taught accounting and finance courses at Bayes Business School and King’s Business School and is a fellow of the Advance HE.
