About
Overview
Dr Jafar Sabbah is a Lecturer in Technology and Innovation at Bayes Business School, London, focusing on human–AI collaboration, AI agents, and the future of work. With a PhD, an MBA, an LLB, and foundational studies in Computer Science and Psychology, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective that bridges rigorous research and real-world application. Alongside his academic career, he has led technology startups and participated in global leadership and accelerator programmes, experiences that continue to shape his research agenda and teaching philosophy.
His research examines how humans and AI can work together effectively across creativity, innovation, and decision-making tasks. He is particularly interested in the behavioural and cognitive mechanisms that shape performance in human–AI settings, the conditions under which collaboration produces meaningful gains, and how organisations can develop the capabilities and governance needed for responsible, high-value AI adoption. This work also informs his interest in how AI agents may reshape roles, workflows, and skill requirements in knowledge-intensive environments.
His research interests include:
• Human–AI collaboration and performance in creative and decision-making contexts
• AI agents and their implications for organisational design and the future of work
• Co-efficacy, trust, agency, and judgment in human–AI teams
• The balance between novelty and appropriateness in AI-supported ideation
• Measurement and development of AI-related work capabilities and professional skills
• Responsible use of advanced AI in organisational settings
He teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas related to technology and innovation, including AI and innovation, human–AI collaboration, design thinking, and the strategic implications of emerging technologies. He is committed to creating learning experiences that help students develop both conceptual clarity and practical competence in working with advanced AI systems.
He is always keen to connect with those curious about AI, human–AI collaboration, AI agents, and how technology is reshaping the way we work.
