Overview
Zahra Abootalebi is a PhD student in Actuarial Science at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London.
Her research focuses on actuarial science and the application of statistical methods to insurance and risk-related problems, with particular interests in quantitative risk management, discrimination in insurance pricing, sensitivity analysis, and predictive modelling.
Zahra holds a BSc in Statistics and an MSc in Actuarial Science from Allameh Tabataba’i University in Tehran, Iran. Her academic background has provided her with a strong foundation in actuarial science, statistics, and quantitative methods.
Alongside her doctoral studies, Zahra has experience in teaching probability, statistics, and finance-related modules. Her broader academic interests include financial mathematics, statistical modelling, econometrics, and data-driven approaches to insurance and finance.
