- Online MBA 2nd in the world for career progression
- 1st in the UK for online interaction and ESG teaching.
Bayes Business School’s Global MBA (GMBA) has been named as one of the world’s top programmes in the Financial Times Online MBA 2026 Ranking.
The annual league table ranks Bayes 4th in the world in its latest publication, in what is the Business School’s first ever submission to the FT’s Online MBA league table.
Using data from business schools alongside a survey of recent alumni, the ranking measures alumni career progression, value for money, programme delivery and diversity, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations. In addition to the overall placings, Bayes was ranked 2nd in the world for career progression, and 1st in the UK for online interaction and ESG teaching.
The Bayes Business School GMBA is a two-year, part-time programme. Modules are taught both online and on campus at Bayes’ state-of-the-art Finsbury Square campus in London.
Following completion of online core modules in Year One, the on-campus Career Impact Week and a Consulting Week that provides the opportunity to undertake practical consultancy work in London, students are able to select from a wide range of electives in their second year to tailor towards career goals – from leadership and entrepreneurship to real estate and machine learning.
Students from 78 different nationalities have either graduated or are enrolled on the Bayes Global MBA.
Professor André Spicer, Dean of Bayes Business School, said:
“This excellent result is testament to the vision of our programme team, dedicated teaching staff and achievements of our students.
“We began building the programme before COVID, launched it when COVID hit, and have had multiple waves of students complete it after what was a moment of profound change in the world of business education.
“Having taught on this programme, I was initially uncertain whether an online experience would match an in-person MBA class. I soon realised that online classes had something special about them.
“A typical class might include an American surgeon, an Indian ship captain, a South African banker, a Malaysian hotel executive and a British entrepreneur. The great thing is all of them are in their workplace but also connecting online.
“The Global MBA is an important part of the future of business education. It gives students the chance to develop leadership skills, connect with other professionals and leaders across the world and immediately put their insights and skills into practice.”
Dr Manto Gotsi, Senior Lecturer in Marketing and GMBA Course Director at Bayes, said:
"It is very pleasing to achieve such a positive ranking, which reflects not only the strength of the GMBA but also the outstanding achievements of our alumni. I am very proud of our community.
“Our GMBA allows students to balance study around work and life commitments, while enjoying a base in London with access to our on-campus facilities and events.
“Students also receive one-to-one career coaching to help progress in seniority across a range of sectors, demonstrating their leadership skills to employers. This is highlighted by our ranking of 2nd in the world for career progression.”
