I am truly grateful to Bayes Business School for offering an exceptional residential experience

The benefits of strategic location

As someone new to the country and city, the strategic location of the halls has been incredibly beneficial during my MBA experience. With just a 15-minute walk to school, the proximity to campus has significantly reduced my commute times and saved considerable transportation expenses. This convenience allows me to invest more time in my studies.

Affordability in a global city

Another compelling aspect of living in halls is the affordability it offers, especially in a city like London. Compared to renting an apartment with similar amenities, the halls provide a cost-effective solution tailored to student needs. The discounted rates offered through the university make it an even more attractive option.

A global networking opportunity

Living in student halls has offered me an incredible opportunity for networking and personal growth. With around 800 students from different universities, the residential experience has become a melting pot of perspectives. This multi-institutional environment allows me to connect with peers from various academic backgrounds, explore diverse career trajectories, and build a robust professional network beyond my immediate MBA cohort.

A sense of security and belonging

The sense of security is another significant aspect of my residential experience. Being away from family can be daunting, but these halls provide a safe, structured environment. It feels like having a second home with built-in support systems that offer comfort and stability throughout my international academic journey.

Balancing privacy and community

I always wanted to stay in a place that offers the right balance of privacy and social connection. My ensuite room with a shared kitchen has been perfect; it gives me personal space while also fostering opportunities to engage and interact with friends. Late-night study sessions, impromptu dinner parties, and knowledge-sharing moments all happen right here.

One of the most valuable aspects of this arrangement is the emotional support from my housemates. Pursuing an intensive MBA can be overwhelming, and having peers who truly understand the journey makes a significant difference. Together, we celebrate successes, support each other during challenging times, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Enhancing the MBA experience

The halls of residence offer an impressive range of facilities that have enhanced my MBA journey. There are various social and recreational spaces where students play games together, watch movies, organize festive parties, and more. These activities not only help us rejuvenate but also provide opportunities to connect with peers from various nations, learn about their cultures, and build lifelong relationships.

The dedicated study spaces with a library provide excellent academic support. All students can study individually in a peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, the halls have conference study rooms where students can collaborate on projects and assignments, fostering a spirit of teamwork and collective learning.

Exploring life beyond campus

Living in halls has been instrumental in expanding my social circle and exploring life beyond the campus. This living arrangement has opened doors to diverse social networks, enabling me to interact with people from various backgrounds, each contributing unique perspectives and life experiences.

Through shared meals, group study sessions, weekend outings, and communal activities, I've formed meaningful connections and friendships that extend beyond academic life. My housemates often introduce me to new interests, local cultural events, and community experiences that enrich my overall time in London.

For all incoming MBA students, I highly recommend halls of residence. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s about creating a holistic university experience. It’s a combination of growth, connections, and a support system that extends far beyond the classroom.
