Bayes’ Master’s in Finance on top of the world for alumni salary impact

The FT has ranked Bayes Business School's Finance MSc third in the UK and 16th globally - with its impact on  alumni salaries top of the international rankings.

Bayes Business School’s Finance MSc programme is top globally for alumni salary increase and first in the UK for both career progress and employment, Financial Times rankings published today reveal.

Overall, the programme is 2nd in London, 3rd in the UK and 16th globally – up one, two and 13 places respectively.

The Financial Times compiles the annual rankings after surveying alumni from 74 international business schools.

Dr Natasa Todorovic Zrilic, Course Director for the Master’s in Finance and Associate Professor of Finance, said: “This excellent ranking confirms that the programme offers our students a powerful combination of academic rigour and real-world relevance. It’s particularly gratifying to see the impact that the MSc has on alumni salaries and career progress given we prioritise employability at Bayes Business School.

“Our graduates clearly leave us with the expertise and confidence to succeed in the diverse range of careers available across the fast-changing finance sector.”

The Bayes Finance Master’s also scored particularly well on the quality of its ESG core curriculum content.

Bayes Dean Professor Andre Spicer said: “This is a glowing endorsement of the postgraduate experience on offer here at Bayes. I’m grateful for Natasa’s work and that of her colleagues. Perhaps even more importantly, I’m grateful to our Finance MSc alumni who are clearly forging successful careers in finance and related sectors."

The School’s unique location in the City of London, Dr Todorovic Zrilic said, means academics and students can tap into the expertise of some of the world’s largest employers and household names.

“Students gain a real world focus and can engage with prospective employers through company visits, alumni panels, careers fairs, input from our expert honorary visiting academics, and our guest speaker programme. Many gain real world experience in some of the world’s leading investment banks, corporate finance companies, asset management firms, private equity houses and fintech innovators.”

Students also have the chance to spend a month at one of Bayes’ partner institutions, such as Montpellier Business School or Paris Dauphine, to improve research skills and build global networks.
