Bayes research lauded in UT Dallas Top 100 Business School Ranking

Business school named 3rd in the UK for research output over the last five years.

Bayes Business School’s research has been ranked 3rd in the UK, 8th in Europe and 73rd in the world in the University of Texas at Dallas’ (UTD) latest Top 100 Business School Research Ranking,

The ranking, published by UTD’s Naveen Jindal School of Management, scores global business school research output across five-years intervals with data from 24 leading business journals. The latest table reflects research published between 2021 to 2025, with a scoring system based on author affiliations in journals across a number of disciplines, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Marketing, Organization Science, Marketing Science and the Journal of International Business Studies.

Across the five years of assessment, Bayes academics published 98 papers in these journals.

The ranking further endorses of the research output of Bayes experts, having had no fewer than 19 academic colleagues recently named in the annual World’s Top 2% Scientists list published by Stanford University late last year.

Professor Feng Li, Associate Dean for Research, said:

“It is very pleasing to receive collective recognition for both the volume and breadth of research our experts publish across important subject areas.

“From topics affecting us in our daily lives like consumer behaviour and workplace wellbeing, to key strategic insights for businesses and financial management, Bayes faculty continue to spearhead new thinking on the most influential platforms.

"At Bayes, we enjoy nurturing a research environment to enhance world-class scholarship.  While rankings provide just a snapshot of academic excellence, it is encouraging to see the collective efforts of our faculty recognised alongside other leading institutions across the world.”

The UT Dallas Top 100 Business School Research Ranking uses a database containing journal authors and their affiliations at the time from research articles published in 24 leading journals since 1990. The ranking score is calculated by the sum total of weighted averages of an institution’s input into each published research paper. Single-author studies are each given a score of one, with multiple-author studies divided between institutions.
