CALL FOR PAPERS

The Centre for Banking Research at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London, invites submissions for the 10th Emerging Scholars in Banking and Finance Conference, to be held in London on 20 November 2026. Launched in 2009, the Emerging Scholars in Banking and Finance Conference provides a forum for early-career researchers within five years of completing their PhD to present their work, receive constructive feedback, and build connections with the banking and finance research community in an inclusive environment.

The conference will provide an opportunity for presentations and discussions of policy-relevant research in an informal and highly interactive environment, bringing together emerging scholars and leading academics working on current issues in banking and finance.

The Centre for Banking Research (CBR) has been a focal point of Bayes Business School`s research communication strategy with the academic and finance communities. Since its establishment, one of the core missions of CBR is disseminating its research through Conferences, Seminars, and Public Lectures, and welcome the world`s leading researchers, practitioners and policy makers to share their work.

Moreover, CBR Scholars participate in numerous conferences worldwide, engaging with the academic community, NGOs, international institutions, central banks, government policy departments and industry events to disseminate their work, help inform decision-making and develop solutions to the challenges in the sector.

The Centre also hosts the biannual International Workshop on Financial Systems Architecture and Stability (IWFSAS), which provides a forum for academic researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to discuss current issues related to the structure and design of financial systems and their impact on macro-financial stability and sustainable economic development.
